
Is it safe in Thailand?
I am going on a tour group with me (a 13 year old and a senior who loves to travel and spunky. This is my tour http://aarp.generaltours.com/tour/?tid=49&vw=ov and we might go to angor wat too. Will this be safe?
As with any place, you just have to keep your wits about you and watch what you’re doing. I stayed in Bangkok for a week and didn’t really worry about crime all that much. Pickpocketing is common, so keep your wallets/purse/bookbag nearby. The guidebooks I read beforehand all mentioned there were special ‘tourist’ police to help combat this, but while there, I may have saw one.
